Honey Doo Crafts – If Friends Were Flowers

Honey Doo Crafts – If Friends Were Flowers

Another Honey Doo Crafts product!  I’d seen in a magazine a way of heat embossing white outlines and water-colouring the image.  It was such a sweet delicate way of using an image, I just loved it.

I stamped the beautiful Honey Doo Crafts Flower Crest with my Versamark Watermark ink pad and heat embossed it with Stampendous Detail White embossing powder.  I then used Memento ink pads (Rosebud, Bamboo Leaves and Pear Tart) with my watercolour brush to paint in the details.

For the background I used a simple wash of the same pink I’d used for the flowers.  I then used my watercolour brush to flick some of the paint over the top (I’m liking the ‘flick’ style).

Finally when it was all dry I stamped the sentiment from Papercraft Essentials and painted in the flower using the same pink again.

I die cut the image out using the matching Flower Crest Die and added it to the top corner.  I mounted the image using 3d pads to give a bit of depth to the card.
