Woodware – Football Boot
Father’s Day – that dreaded time of year when we have to make..gulp..mens card! This little gem was inspired by Loobi Crafts. I have a few men in my life who really enjoy their football and my FIL is one of those, so I thought the Woodware Football Boot Stamp would be perfect.
To create the shape of the card I used a Spellbinders Nestabilities Circle Die to cut out the card shape from a 6in x 6in square card. I was careful not to cut across the seam of the card so I ended up with a fold, not two circles.
To give a pitch effect I also die cut a circle of green. I trimmed the top edge off slightly to fit it to the back of the card.
I trimmed down some white card stock to just over the size of the circle nestabilities die I had used. To give the impression of a football I used a mini die from the X-Cut range in the shape of a hexagon. I cut out several white and black pieces and positioned them over the card stock before sticking them down. I positioned the circle die over the background I had made and cut it when I was happy.
Using an embosser I made a fold down the front of the card to create an easel. Then I affixed the football to the front facing section.
The boot was coloured in using Winsor and Newton ProMarkers. I backed the sentiments on black card stock and affixed them with 3d foam pads.
